The journey of QuantumLaso began long before its official inception. It started during the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic—a moment of reflection that reignited my lifelong curiosity about physics. That curiosity led me down a path to Quantum Physics, then to Quantum Mechanics, and eventually into the extraordinary world of Quantum Computing.
As a self-taught learner, I embraced the challenge head-on, beginning with the basics of quantum computing. For over 30 years, I had worked with traditional computer systems governed by the familiar binary logic of zeros and ones. Quantum principles, however, were a different universe altogether—complex, abstract, and at first overwhelming. But step by step, my mind adjusted. I explored the fundamentals of quantum systems, learned Python as a tool to interact with quantum hardware, and started experimenting with platforms like IBM Quantum. From my home office, I built gates, ran simulations, and explored architectures like ion trapping, photonics, and superconducting qubits.
This knowledge journey grew into something more. I began sharing insights and research through QuantumBlogger, covering groundbreaking quantum innovations. Along the way, I realized something transformative: the collision course between Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Quantum Computing would usher in a new era of technology, one that could profoundly impact industries and humanity.
My decades of experience building video streaming and telecom solutions for media and emergency management gave me the confidence to take the next step. That step became QuantumLaso.
The First Quantum Computing Company in Oklahoma
In 2024, I officially established QuantumLaso, LLC, the first Oklahoma-based quantum computing company to focus on transformative technologies. After searching the Secretary of State database, I confirmed that no other quantum-focused company had filed for consulting, hardware development, or quantum application services in the state—making QuantumLaso a pioneer.
