Omar, the mathematician, astronomer may be an original father of the quantum world in written words, but you must read his poets in the original language of Farsi to fully understand his connection to the quantum world of probabilities, and non-deterministic concept of how nature operates. The English Translation has missed some of his quantum references, but it is pretty clear in Farsi version. I am lucky I can read his work in Farsi, although I have hard time to fully appreciate his elegant wisdom.
Omar Khayyam (عمر خیّام, 1048 – 1131) was a Persian mathematician, astronomer and poet. He managed to classify and solve all cubic equations, and found new ways to understand Euclid’s parallel axiom. Khayyam also designed the Jalali calendar, a precise solar calendar that is still used in some countries.
