Q IS FOR QUNATUM

Assuming only a basic knowledge of arithmetic, this book teaches you the unsettling features of quantum computing in funny ways, so funny and amazing that you will remember the concept behind the subject.

I read parts of this book in the morning and somehow I thought about the concepts of entanglement and the role of the observer via Pete boxes and Bella mists all afternoon. The book comes with simple drawings of examples.

Terry Rudolph, the author, is an accomplished quantum scientist. Remarkably, As I said, Terry can introduce and explain some aspects of quantum mechanics sometimes in a funny way using only elementary algebra, even I understand the stuff.

Terry also has names for everything, making it more understandable for non-physicists like myself. For example, instead of superposition, Terry calls it Misty states. There is more - I think you should buy the book!

If you want an elementary understanding of quantum superposition, gate building, and how to think "quantum," this book should be the first one to read.

PS: I am still reading this book - I will post about what I learned again.

I bought this on Amazon for $12.99 and I may have to buy the second copy as a gift to my son-in-law! - He is also a quantum computing enthusiasts with excellent math background.

I highly recommend it.
